Numen Clock?
The db-db-db-developed app Numen Clock takes an interesting approach to showing you what time it is. Instead of using a traditional image of a clock, this app uses animated images of undressed men. Originally the men were completely nude; but because Apple is against that sort of thing, the developer had to stick to Apple’s policy and consequently the men wear underpants.
By now I’m guessing you’re wondering how the Numen Clock app works. The whole thing is pretty simple: a bunch of men show up, run around on your iDevice’s screen, and huddle together to create an image that displays the time. If you take your device and shake it, you will switch between digital, analog, and calendar mode. Or to put it in other words, when you shake your device the men move around and switch between a digital clock, an analog clock, and a calendar.
The app has an interesting feature on top of that. When you touch the screen the men huddle around your finger; you can thus move them around any way you want. You can use them to draw a smiley face, or anything else you might be inspired to express through the medium on undressed men.
You can use the app on your iPhone or iPod Touch and you can use it on the iPad as well. You will have to purchase it first – it is available in the App Store for the low price of 99 cents at the time of writing this.
So if you want nude men running around on your iDevice’s screen telling you what time it is, go ahead and get the Numen Clock app. It’s easy to use, it is affordable, it offers an interesting way to tell the time.
